My experience at Legacy GMC was a pleasurable experience. Ty and Alyssa were extremely knowledgeable about the 2025 AT4 Sierra and easy to work with once we got to the negotiation table. The financing department was fast and professional; plus, his office is a real conversation piece!! All three of these employees made my experience a 5 star...the only department that we were disappointed with was the detailing department. When the truck was delivered to us the back seat still had dirt all over the mats, fingerprints all over the digital dash display and windows, and trash that should have been removed. Despite this inconvenience in the next 30 days, we will be looking to purchase another vehicle, and we will be reaching out to Alyssa to see what she has to offer us.

My service tech made this one of the most enjoyable experiences I've had at the service department. From the time I pulled up he was expecting me based on my scheduled appointment. A friendly and joval attitude. He informed me there was a recall he would like to have completed and that it would take a longer time to complete. He suggested I take the service shuttle home and he would contact me when the work was complete. Everything looked good when I picked up my truck. My experience was awesome. In a situation where my current vehicle had went kaput, we brought it to the Legacy Buick service center, and from there, the process took a life of his own from the assessment of the current vehicle to the evaluation and my options of purchasing a new vehicle in which I did. the service center gave it to a sales person ( Alyssa) and a sales person while I was out on a memorial break took care of everything even on memorial day so when I got back home even from sleeping in the airport due to delays. My vehicle is ready. The process was there. It was a smooth and seamless transition. Alyssa and Tyree was awesome. From giving me a ride and answering all of my questions

I asked about the 6.2 recall and I was told” that they will be mailing out paperwork on the 6.2 recalls in the coming months .” I am involved in this recall and have only gotten answers from YouTube and Reddit. Which is very poor . The service guy(Ryan) was able to only to answer what he can .I don’t blame him. I blame Gm as a whole.The oil change was great and the free tire rotation was nice .. The overall handling of the 6.2 recall terrible ..

Let me first say that my experience with Legacy Buick has been a pleasure overall, and I will continue to be a loyal customer. However, in the spirit of transparency, I want to share a recent issue. After Labor Day 2025, I purchased a new GMC truck. The sales experience was excellent—well above my expectations. I was advised I could use my GMC points for a spray-on bed liner, so I saved my points and paid full price for the tailgate speakers. Unfortunately, when it came time to pay, I was told I couldn’t use the points for the liner after all, resulting in me spending over $200 more than expected. To make matters worse, when I picked up my truck after the bed liner install, it was returned dirty with white powder throughout the driver area—not the condition I left it in. While I appreciate the apology I received, I do hope Legacy Buick improves communication between departments so other customers don’t face a similar situation.

I would have given 5 stars because the communication was exceptional!! But…. I took my Yukon Denali in to be serviced for recalls. My car was serviced including rotating the tires. After picking the vehicle up I had a flat tire later the same day. It was discovered some of the lug bolts were loose on the tire being changed. I prompted the person to check the other tires and a couple more loose bolts were found. I’m thankful I had a flat tire that day and this was discovered. Please make sure the technicians double check things like this. Someone’s life might be at risk.

We were never communicated to about any delays until another service manager saw my husband pacing and then he told us that they were short-handed and he would get our vehicle up next. I understand if there is a problem with employees not showing up for work but communication is so important. We drove over an hour to your dealership and we had an appointment. I told them something was wrong with one of my tires, it was slowly losing air and to please check it. They said nothing was wrong it and they put air in it, the next day I took to a friend who put soapy water on it and immediately found the hole. There is no way it was actually checked at the dealership. My teenage son drives this vehicle to New Orleans to school everyday, i have another son with a brain injury from a car accident. Thank goodness I got it checked somewhere else, I couldn’t even imagine how upset I would have been if this tire blew out while my son was in this car if I would have trusted Legacy. I am beyond mad about this.

Main reason I brought my truck in and set up an appointment for was an Oil Change. Arrived at 7:15am for my 7:30am appointment. Was advised of my 40K mile service. Agreed to perform all needed services. 4 hours later when truck was completed and invoice paid I go to my truck and oil change was not performed. Had to wait an additional hour for that to be completed (No Charge as that is the correct thing to do). Later last night my wife gets in truck and there is a part on my floor board. When tech checked the cabin air filter (which I stated that I just replaced 2 weeks ago) the tech never put the shock back on my glove box which makes it slam open. Always had great experiences at Legacy in Slidell. Not so much this last time.

On November 22, 2025, I experienced an extremely unacceptable 3.5-hour service visit at your location. This is the dealership I normally trust for all maintenance, but this visit was handled very unprofessionally. I arrived on time at 8:00 AM for my scheduled oil change and AC diagnostic. My advisor, James Noullet (4631), took my keys without confirming the services I was booked for. After three hours waiting with no update, I was told the AC still hadn’t been checked. When the diagnostic was finally done, James claimed he was unaware I needed an oil change—despite it being clearly listed in my appointment confirmation, which I showed him. His demeanor was rude, dismissive, and lacked basic professionalism. Mistakes happen, but refusing to acknowledge them and implying the customer is wrong is unacceptable. My oil change should have been completed long before the AC inspection, and the extended wait was completely unnecessary. I left extremely dissatisfied with both the service and the advisor’s conduct. Unless this issue is addressed, I will not be returning to this location.

I was told I was getting a transmission flush for $399. When it was close to the time for me to pick up my truck, i received a text telling me the cost was $134. I called the service advisor and asked him about the flush and he stated " my transmission was serviced." So, I assume they just change the Transmission fluid but did not actually do a flush and not to mention they did not have the amount of fluid or what kind on the ticket. But yet I had all that info for the oil change. However, when I got to the dealership they had a charge of $399, so at this point I wonder did I really get a flush or just a transmission fluid change. I'm just not sure if I received what I paid for. Going into the forward, I think if the dealership is going to send out a text saying total invoice, it needs to reflect the same dollar amount when the customer arrives to pay and pick up their vehicle. The customer should not to face a GOT YOU moment because cashier invoice shows a different dollar amount then what was texted showed. The service manager spend time talking with me about it and took $100 off the bill which I appreciate but I'm still left wondering did I really get what I paid for. Side note outside the service survey: Before purchasing my truck I looked at Ford and RAM and I chose the GMC and I LOVE MY GMC TRUCK! AB

Routine service, Oil change and Tire rotation. Friendly staff reasonable wait time. After the service was finished, drove out of the dealership about a 1/2 mile and my Truck started shaking, heavy smoke, shifting erratic. I managed to turn around and slowly get back to the dealer with approximately 3 miles total driven. The service staff could see the vehicle smoking with heavy wet, black deposits from the exhaust. Problem found was the Engine Oil was overfilled. The Engine was drained, and refilled to proper levels. Truck was test driven and no further engine issues were found. After departing the second time I noticed the Tire positions hadn’t been reprogrammed after the rotation. Not sure if they were over worked, understaffed and rushing to move on to the next vehicle but there was an obvious failure to check engine oil level after the oil change, that’s never happened before. The tire rotation reprogramming issue happens occasionally.

Everytime I have had an issue with my truck it is in the shop for 5 or more days. The first service rep (no longer there), when I said that is not a good thing; his reply was "Well, it's good for us!" I was shocked to hear that. What a tone deaf statement to make. I understand now why several of my GMC friends take there trucks to Matt Bowers for service. They say the staff there is more customer oriented and it doesn't take as long for service. I believe Legacy does not have enough mechanics to service their customers timely. Especially with all of the issues these GMCs are having. You all need to do better immediately to save your reputation.

Truck was dropped off at Legacy GMC on January 2, 2026 with check engine light on, Code indicated faulty Engine Coolant Control Valve (which is a known issue replaced under GM special instruction). I informed the service advisor that I would be out of town all week and would be back the following Saturday (1/10) to pickup. As of Thursday, I hadn't heard from the dealership, so I attempted to call but only got voicemail. I was busy with meetings and didnt have a chance to call back until Friday afternoon. Friday afternoon, a lady answered and informed me that the service advisor was out all week, she had no idea the status of my truck, and I would need to speak to the Service Manager , that he should call me back. Service Manager did call me back within about 30 minutes and informed me my truck was complete and could be picked up Saturday morning. He mentioned the flu was going through their shop and they were down several people. Meanwhile, my GMC app showed the check engine light to still be on and the truck still required service. Saturday morning, GMC app showed truck to be good and I received a call that the truck was ready. Was a bit confusing, because truck was supposedly ready the night before. I go to Legacy to pick-up and one of the service advisors informed me that mechanics stayed really late Friday night to repair my truck. I found that odd for 2 reasons: 1) Service manager informed me truck was complete around 3pm on Friday, and 2) they had my truck for 8 days. Understand sickness went through the shop, but they had my truck for the week - just shows poor planning. After getting the truck home, I was inspecting the truck and noticed grease and scratches all over the drives side front fender where the mechanics were leaning over it. I took it back to Legacy and they did wipe it off. Its alarming to me that 1) My truck wasn't actually finished when Service Manager said it was, 2) They had my truck for a week, but wanted a kudos for staying late on the 7th day they had my truck, and 3) i got my truck back dirtier than I dropped it off. I've been to Legacy a few times for service and have been disappointed every time. I'm currently in the market for a new Yukon Denali XL for my wife, but will likely be purchasing the new SUV and servicing both at a differenct GMC dealership. As far as I'm concerned, you've lost a customer that was ready to spend $100k on a new SUV.

My truck spent 1 hour and 38 minutes on the rack. This was for a tire rotation and oil change. It normally takes 40 minutes. When completed it sat for twenty minutes. I mentioned several times to cashier that it appears to be complete- I was told they were working with parts for some type materials. Which I mentioned I did not authorize any other work. I finally chased down Jacob to get checked out. Not my typical service I normally get. I have purchased more GMC Trucks than I can count- all visits previously was awesome quick, courteous, and professional. I normally come on Saturdays but this thine it was on a Friday.

The service provider himself was accommodating and respectful. However, scheduling an appointment for a simple oil change at 8am and not being done until almost 11am is unacceptable. It is obvious that there is a flaw in the scheduling system. It is unreasonable to have more vehicles than service bays available scheduled in a given time slot. I understand that more vehicles without a scheduled appointment pull up, but vehicles with scheduled appointments should be serviced first, similar to the DMV. I refuse to wait another 3 hours for an oil change and will not be doing business with the Slidell location any longer. There are solutions to this problem that seemingly have not been sought out.
